Welcome to the forum of a Christian Conservative Lady from Colorado (and some of her friends). Posts will be political, religious, fun & cute or whatever strikes our fancy. And just a way for us all to keep in touch. We hope this place becomes a place of discussion, friendship and research of all things political and religious.

3 Things about Islam

Most of us in the west really do not understand Islam, its beliefs, its motives nor its goals. This lack of understanding is the primary reason so many on the left champion the cause of Islam over the cause of The West (for them its simply a tool for use in critical theory of Marxism ... a simple bludgeon to use against Western Capitalism ... and their defense of Islam is the short sighted "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" thinking).

The following video gives three basic truths about Islam that I believe every westerner needs to know before confronting so-called "radical" Islam.

For more study, I highly recommend reading through Robert Spencer's Qur'an Commentary (you have to scroll to the bottom and read the articles from the bottom up).

Calvin Coolidge

Glenn Beck has been doing several shows lately on "Restoring History". He's been covering bits of history that have been removed for the most part from our schools ... important pieces of history for those that love America.

On Friday he did a great show on Calvin Coolidge, a president I knew very little about (which is sad since I lived a large chunk of my life in a house on Coolidge Street in Wichita Kansas).

You can watch the show here:

Restoring History: Calvin Coolidge Still Matters
Glenn Beck Show- August 13, 2010
Tonight, we continue the Restoring History series with the President that progressives NEED you to forget about-Calvin Coolidge. Ronald Reagan's favorite President, Coolidge drastically reduced the size of government and thwarted a depression in the early 20's that was bigger and deeper than the Great Depression that began in 1929. The country was in bad shape when he took office..but when he left, we were in the Roaring Twenties. Coolidge was probably one of the best Presidents we've ever had. So, just what was his secret? Find out tonight.

On a side note, I'm glad I stumbled across this web site as Glenn's show comes on either while I'm at work or late at night and I don't have a DVR.
